Pigeon-holed as?: Soul Funk and psychedelic

We’re not saying they are these guys, but they kind of sound like: Parliament Funkadelic, Sly & the Family Stone, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings

What’s their deal?: With a brass section that packs a punch, The Pamlico Sound bring the funk wherever they perform.  This band began playing together just this past September and, in a matter of six months, they already have a headlining gig at The Bluebird this month.  Since the New Year, the band has built their local following through monthly house parties that establish them as Boulder’s premier party band.  Experiencing The Pamlico Sound’s unavoidable dance scene firsthand is a must.
