We’re not saying they are these guys, but they kind of sound like: Tamps Red, Mississippi Fred McDowell
What’s their deal?: Blending pre-WWII blues elements with folk, country and a whole host of other old-time sounds, Felonious Smith is about as down-home as they come. The trained Dobro player attacks a metal body National guitar with a bottle neck slide that gives the group a sound that is a throwback to another era.
