Orphan Alien Pt. 1 is as good as an electronica disc can be, but there is one problem inherent with this entire release, and that’s the fact that it’s an album. Few people own the speakers at home to do the mega-bass on this recording any justice, and even if they have that equipment, the album will still do very little to convey the power of a live VibeSquaD show.
Boulder artist Aaron Holstein, who is VibeSquaD, has done a great job of taking a snapshot of his live show, but it’s akin to showing someone a cell-phone picture of the Rocky Mountains — it’s just not the same as the real thing. Go see him live!
