NedFest continues

We knew this was coming but have now received official word. Despite losing it’s founder and director “Michigan” Mike Torpie  in 2011, NedFest is not going anywhere.

It was officially announced this week that Peak to Peak Music Education Association plans to carry out plans for NedFest 2012 on the originally planned dates of August 24 – 26.

The non-profit organization, Peak to Peak Music Education Association (PPMEA), was formed in Torpie’s honor to carry on the legacy of the festival. All proceeds from PPMEA will either be used to propagate the festival or be donated to organizations along the Peak to Peak corridor to enhance and increase both instructional and experimental music education among children.

A preliminary line-up will be released as soon as possible. The current plan is to keep the original format.
