Summertime in Colorado means great music, great festivals and great beer; and the Colorado Brewers’ Festival aims to unite all three in Fort Collins June 23 and 24.

In its 23rd year, the Colorado Brewers’ Festival brings together a few of Coloradoans favorite pastimes, namely craft beer and live local music.  Fort Collins brewery owners Doug Odell and Scott Smith approached the Downtown Business Association over two decades ago to create this event that has garnered national appeal over the years. Taking place in Fort Collins’ Civic Center Park, the event will host 60 Colorado craft brews for sampling and a bevy of live local music.

Headlining the event will be Fierce Bad Rabbit from Fort Collins. Formed in 2009, the indie rock band has quickly formed a name for themselves on the local scene. With a few albums under their belt and a solid repertoire of influences, the band has quickly showcased their talents along the Front Range including the Westword Music Showcase and beyond at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.

Also playing is Fort Collins reggae/rock/ska band 12 Cents for Marvin. Since 1998, the band has had numerous albums and been a staple in the Colorado music scene and will be reuniting this year to join in the festivities of their hometown. Over 15 bands in all will be playing the festival, helping to celebrate one of Colorado’s greatest domestic products; craft brews.
