Pedals with tubes have been done before, but most didn’t have the power requirements to make the tube anything other than a flashy gimmick. Vox’s Tone Garage series changes that.
Made to compliment and work with analog gear, the full-range booster Flat 4 and the British overdrive of the Straight 6 (just two of the five pedals offered in the series) convey nuances without compromising the guitar’s sound.
The pedals will certainly work with solid state amps, but they’re truly made to be part of a tube amp system. We tested them on a 1965 Vox AC 30 with phenomenal results.
