When Megan Burtt says “and Friends” she ain’t kidding. The Denver-based songstress gathered more than 50 musicians, songwriters, producers and engineers to put together In Good Company (Vol. 1) The Colorado Sessions. The entire album is being used as a fundraiser for the Love Hope Strength Foundation, whose mission is to help match bone marrow donors with recipients. (LHS has added 50,000 people to the bone marrow registry and over 700 matches have been made).
From soft singer/songwriter fare, to sultry jazzy tracks to deeply soulful tracks, Burtt and her friends cover a wide swatch of genres and styles, which isn’t surprising, considering that she works with everyone from Chris Daniels to Covenhoven and Bop Skizzum. Burtt is indeed in good company, for a great cause.
