Boulder trio Artist Drowning does just that on Driving Home In Reverse, an album that chronicles two life-changing tragedies for vocalist/guitarist/bassist Chris Martin, who wrote the entire album. With a gritty, ’90s rock and roll fuzz, Martin pours his heart out on Driving Home, but he approaches it all with a sort of J. Mascis-style of guitar that keeps the album slightly upbeat and slightly sinister.
