Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Festival
Riverbend Park – Palisade, Colo.
The town of Palisade is known as the Peach and Wine Capital of Colorado, and such traditions always find a place at the Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Festival. While the music always comes first, local wines and craft beers also play a pivotal role in creating a unique festival experience.
Friday is traditionally made up of Colorado bands and this year is no different with all four bands on the line-up — Free the Honey, Chain Station, Taarka and Trout Steak Revival —all calling Colorado home.
Celebrating its seventh year Palisade is set among the cottonwoods along the banks of the Colorado River, in downtown Palisade. This is the festival to take your bike to. It’s not that the grounds are so spread out that you need the bike to get around the festival, but it makes little exploratory trips that much more enjoyable, with an extensive bike bath into and around town.
- You’re going there to see: Jackie Greene, Elephant Revival, Trout Steak Revival
- You’re going to come home talking about: Hayes Carll, Milk Drive, Eagle Rock Gospel Singers
