Hummingbird Ranch – Rye, Colo.
Sonic Bloom’s location is as fluid as the music the festival highlights. Celebrating its 10th year in 2015, Sonic Bloom has hosted its event at some of the states most epic locales. Mishawaka, Winter Park, South Park and Red Feather Lakes have all been home to at least one year of “The Unified Field,” but this year sees Sonic Bloom heading south, to just outside of Rye, Colo., for one of the biggest lineups in the event’s history. In addition to two sets by STS9 and performances by Shpongle and Emancipator, Sonic Bloom will host The Trancident, which is Michael Travis, Jason Hahn, Michael Kang and Kyle Hollingsworth — basically all of The String Cheese Incident, minus Nershi and Moseley. All of The Trancident, along with Simon Posford of Shpongle and members of Emancipator and a ton of other musicians will form the Sonic Bloom Orchestra in honor of the 10th anniversary of the festival.
- You’re going there to see: STS9, Shpongle, Emancipator, Talib Kweli and The Sonic Bloom Orchestra
- You’re going to come home talking about: That 1 Guy, Desert Dwellers, Dirtwire
