Dan Aid

The Quiet Place

After ten years playing in punk bands, Dan Aid has emerged with what he refers to as “scribblings” from his tattered spiral notebooks coming full form into his debut solo release. It’s far from punk rock, showing Aid acoustically tip-toeing through insightful, delicate pieces, songs that he said “walk a line of shambling emotion and youthful uncertainty.” His punk rock pedigree does shine through however, with each song being short and direct, and every once in a while his vocals take on the slightest punk flavor, which ads a refreshing punch to the singer/songwriter material.
