Backwoods Music & Camping Festival
Good music. Good people. Good times. That’s the motto of Oklahoma’s electronica-based festival Backwoods. But from the sounds of it, last year’s event could have used a bit more in the good planning category.
Every festival has a hiccup from time to time but it’s how promoters respond that make the real difference, and Backwoods has fully responded. On the festival’s site there is an enormous list of concerns that people voiced and things the promoters have done to address if not completely alleviate the problems for the 2016 experience.
From a new security company, to more shade, more affordable options for ice, filling the damn gopher holes and a whole bunch of other things, the festival’s staff not only heard the feedback but took great steps to make the entire festival a more refined, positive experience.
