The fitness app Cody named Arise one of the top 20 yoga festivals in the world, and while it has “music” in its very name, the promoters have always been adamant that the Arise gathering is much more than an outdoor concert. “Arise is a movement,” they say, and they’ve scheduled more yoga sessions and workshops than most straight-up wellness retreats. From its “Solutions Village” to its “Wisdom Village,” the festival is as focused on spreading healthy dialogue and energy as it is on tunes. And in addition to inspiring mind and body, Arise is a feast for the eyes. The art installations create interactive and meditative spaces throughout the already picturesque grounds of the ranch. Arise is heady and it’s hippie, for sure. They plant a tree for every ticket sold, but all of that consciousness is a way of life for Arise folks, not just a gimmick for the event.
