Mystic Hot Springs by itself is an other-worldly experience. The rustic and naturally trippy setting is extraordinary entirely on its own. But add music — in some cases directly in front of the soaking tubs — and Mystic Hot Springs Music Festival takes on a hippie charm that no other festival can match.
On his was back to Denver from the last Las Vegas Grateful Dead show in 1995, Mike Ginsburg stumbled upon the springs, found that the resort was for sale, and sold everything he owned to make the down payment. Since then he’s found creative, off-grid ways to rustically develop the area, while maintaining, and enhancing its natural beauty and the festival is the icing on that cake.
