Certified by Guinness World Records as “The World’s Largest Music Festival,” and started all the way back in the early 1960s, before Woodstock and the invention of the modern day music festival, Summerfest lasts for 11 days, and has 11 stages with more than 1,000 performances. In 2016, it hosted more than 800,000 attendees. Of course with that large of a production, not to mention the fact that 2017 marks Summerfest’s 50th year, the headliners are household names and there’s enough other acts that discovery is a constant throughout the gargantuan phenomenon.
