Hinterland Music Festival Avenue of the Saints Amphitheatre – St. Charles, IA August 5 – 6 Last year, for its first year, Hinterland came out of the gate strong with a big lineup. But this year their headliner selections show that big acts may very well be a recurring theme for the Midwestern festival, held just outside of DesMoines. The initial event brought 7,000 people to town last year and outgrew the downtown park forcing the move to the amphitheatre this year.
